Sing It

Cloe enjoys listening to Briars music especially since he has  

his new head phones that stay put and don't fall out when she dances. 

It's fun to listen to the boken pieces of song that she has down,  and the humming to the rest.

It makes my heart smile to listen to her.

She often gets someone to join the fun, singing and dancing through out the house.

Even the bird is starting to dance to their music.

(don't ya just wanna sing and dance with her?)

Home for the Holidays..................

Home for Christmas for us was a little different.

On Dec. 23, we all went to the Doc. and found out the entire family had Influenza.

That meant all Parties and plans for us were canceled and we were quarantined for the next 4-5 days.

Relaxing right?

Yes and No!

It sounds great thinking no Hustle and Bustle,

But.......

No Family,

All Tired,

Cranky,

Sore,

And...

Mopey.

We felt so bad for the kids, that we gave in to the constant begging of opening gifts.

So..

.

.

Here goes,

They each got to open 1 gift from my parents on the 23rd.

     

 Tay and Bri 

       got jackets from

          Aero Postale.  

   

and Izzy got a big coloring book

and markers. 

We Celebrated Christmas for 3 days!

and got lots of rest and watched many movies.

It is the 27th and we are finally feeling better.

It will still be a few more days till we have much strength and energy, and the Doc. said a few weeks of lingering coughs.

On the 24th 

We let them open the rest of their presents from grandma and grandpa. Then they got to open their presents from each other and Aaron and I.

They were pretty stoked to say the least.

Taylor got a Bieber calendar from Briar, and Tall boot slippers and tank tops from Izzy.

Briar got a Sports Illustrated calendar from Tay and a Kim K poster from Izzy.

*

Izzy got a Bieber notebook, folder and poster from Briar, and a Bieber necklace, Pet shop and nail polish from Tay.

* 

And Jammies from mom and dad.

Later their other grandparents came over to visit and bring gifts.

*

They were all anxious for Santa and headed to bed.

But Aaron and I had lots to do so we dove into it for the next 3 or so hours. 

Christmas Morning!!

Up at an ok time and a VERY EXCITED Cloe dived right in often Squealing, and informing Taylor and Briar that she
"had more Junk than them!"
They all got what they wanted, and enjoyed Christmas.
We laughed lots and and had tender moments!
Cloe gave Taylor a up close and personal Bieber concert.
It was quite entertaining.

They all enjoyed the lights, and after a few rounds, we decided to take them to see Santa.

A not so sure Cloe steals a Candy Cane anyways.

In the end they all visited Santa to get their own Candy Cane and TRY to persuade Cloe.

It's been a busy stressful week but in the end,

things are starting to look up,

and much was accomplished.  We still have a few minor things to finish up before Christmas. 

Cloe keeps adding more to her list, she has become almost as obsessed with Justin Bieber as her sister. 

Good thing she has a Birthday right after OR is it?!

This morning we woke up to Snow Yeah!!!!

As the older 2 got ready for school,

I ventured out to shovel the drive.

Half way through 2 of my kind neighbors joined the fun,

the drive and walks were done in no time.

After, they headed for a few more neighbors

before heading home.

I am so grateful for Kindness and Service.

So When Cloe woke up and the sun was shining, we ventured out to pay it forward.

Aaron and Briar usually take care of very kind neighbors behind us,

but... being so Beautiful outside and feeling so grateful,

we went and shoveled their drive and walks.

Cloe had a lot of fun in the snow and did her

Service with a Smile!!

Cloe has been quite full of phrases lately that make us all giggle.

The other night we were in my room watching t.v. and she looked at me and told me to

"Get Away From Her Man!" (Aaron)

We all giggled.

She then jumped up on the bed and looked at me, 

 "He is my SUGAR DADDY!!"

Later she told me she loved me and that I was her

SUGAR MOMMA!

She is still calling us that.

Where does she come up with these things?

Today I was sweeping, and she informed me I was doing HER job.

After turning the broom over, she started telling me she was Cinderella, and she sang while she swept.

I think I'll keep her, She is a good little helper.

Last night she came up with some that had me and the kids laughing so hard we hurt.

But... I can't mention them.

Apparently some of the kids on the bus back from Bridgerland didn't find it as amusing as we do.

But.... then again we didn't have to listen to her and her friends screaming on the bus.

Dentist Appointment (in Cloe's words)

Ummmm....

Today at the dentist I had a orange noise over my white nose.

It smelled like oranges and made me feel silly.

Then the Dentist talked to me about the tools.

They have a special tool that sprays water in my mouth

and a vacuum  cleaner for your mouth.

And a tiny" magnivine glass".

and special soft pillow to rest your teeth on.

Then he made my tooth go to sleep.

Then your cheek gets feeling funny.

Then it hurts to eat and drink,

and when you drink your cheek gets to full

and it doesn't feel so good, 

so you have to lay down and huggle your mom and dad .

Cloe did very well until we were leaving and she decided that being puffy and numb was NO GOOD!

It was so FUNNY and SAD!

So home we went to spend the morning HUGGLING!!!

Tradition...

In tradition, last night we took the kids Christmas shopping for each other and Aaron and I.

It took Hours at Walmart !!! But.... We got it all done, and they were way excited about what they picked out for each other.

So... we ran home and got them all wrapped up and under the tree. All was well, until Cloe realized we hadn't gotten anything for her monkey. Aaron tried to tell her that his gift was that he had bought him for her and gave him a home. No such luck with that. Cloe wanted me to buy him 3 real bananas, I got her to settle for her fake fruit out of her kitchen set. Cloe hurried up stairs and wrapped them and put them under the tree for monkey. Now... Everyone is happy!!

As everyone knows, Cloe has a one of a kind personality that is so hard to get mad at. In fact we often find ourselves trying not to laugh at her when we should be getting upset with her.

She is very protective, opinionated, loving, hilarious and surprising. 

Here are a few of her latest:

Saturday we were telling her that Briars friend Cooper was actually her cousin. * Her response, "Huh! What is wrong with this world?" it seems that everyone is somehow related to her and she is amazed.

We went to Wingers for lunch yesterday, and she ordered a quesadilla.  she took one bite and thought it was the dipping sauce she tried that made it nasty, so she dipped it in Ranch.

Nope, still nasty.
So while she is telling me that she doesn't know what is wrong with this place,and that they have nasty quesadillas the waiter pokes his head around the booth. OOPS! hehe!
Aaron tells her to eat her dinner, or he won't ever take her out to dinner again. She responds with " then I'll walk there."

(we are trying hard not to laugh) 

He then tells her to listen and eat her dinner. She responds with "That's your rules not mine."

(meaning, I really don't have to.) 

So if that's not enough, the manager lady comes walking by and asks how everything tastes, and I respond with good.
Cloe looked at me, and says 
"why didn't you tell her mine is nasty?"
I know it sounds really bratty, but it was actually really funny to watch because she isn't bratty about it she is more comic about it.

She gets it from her Daddy!

Briar and I were also launching popcorn to each other off a spoon to catch. I did pretty good at launching them to all the kids. But.. When Briar tried to launch one to me, he flipped the spoon at me instead and hit me in the head. I know, bad example in a restaurant.
but funny!

 Cloe has been a JOY to have in our family and makes us complete!

She has a little of all of us in her so she is never alone in thought or deed!

It has been crazy around here so i haven't kept up very well. So..... here goes.

Lots of illness around here, cold and flu.

Tay got the worst of the flu, poor girl was miserable.

no head shots, i look terrible!

Cloe had her first dentist appointment.

She did very well, but has to go get a small cavity fixed. :(

We made an appointment to get all their teeth cleaned this month as well and Tay  is gonna get hers checked for braces. AGAIN!

On another note, I took the kids phones away for a day.

NOT because they were in trouble or anything, but because  I wanted them to my self for a whole day. It was VERY nice. 

*

We headed to Morgan for a wrestling tournament Saturday.

We had to be there by 7ish and it started at 8:30 and got over around 5. The team did well, we took 3rd place out of 6 schools. 

we had 5 boys go undefeated. 

Briar's grandpa and grandma Yearsley came to watch him. :)

Briar did very well and had a great time!

In the first  two matches Briar dominated, and then pinned the kids. the third he did very well, and should have won but the other team was playing dirty and the refs, weren't experienced and didn't catch everything. 

the fourth he was winning by points, and in the end of the first quarter they came down hard on Briar's hand and he lost his strength and grip in it. but.. he kept going and held the kid down the whole second quarter, then in the third quarter he held him down the till the very end and the kid turned him and beat him 5-3. ( shoot!!)

The last match was against a tough kid who Briar has made friends with.They went the whole first quarter with no points, in the second the kid got his take down, and pinned Briar.

So.... in the end Briar has got a huge bruise on the cheek,

  a huge bump on top of his hand (hopefully just a knot, not a break),

a tender forehead (from the head but he got from the third match),

 But.... he is tough.

And what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!

And he is very lucky because he has the best and cutest cheerleaders anyone could ask for. We love you Briar!

it seems everyday has been a sick day at our house lately,

but today.

seems to top them for me anyways,

as you can see Izzy is starting to feel better.

So... I am trying to rest a little with 10 min. guilt bursts to try and have everything done before everyone gets home.

Family Time

Yesterday we had some RELAXED family time, which for our family it is hard to come by. We were all CRAVING Taco Time so since ours is burned down, we drove out to Tremonton to satisfy our craving. SO SO GOOD!! None left! Then we headed to Walkers to watch Tangled. 7:00 SOLD OUT!!!! Crap Cloe is way upset, so.... we decided to wait for the 9:10 show. So to be safe, we went at 8:30. Good thing cuz people were already waiting in line and lots more were following. Let me tell you, we will be buying it. It is WAY SUPER CUTE!!! But.... it was also quite the funny for our family, cuz this chick Aaron and I went to school with and Aaron liked (who will remain un named) sat right behind us. And can i tell you holy crap she was so loud, we didn't know if we were laughing at the movie or her. The kids and I had alot of fun harassing Aaron the rest of the night.

Izzy hasn't been feelin well the last couple of days,

He took 3rd. and had some really good matches.
