shared secrets.....

So for lunch today Taylor made quesidillas.
Iz sat close by to make sure they were being made correctly.
After a few minutes she leans over and says
" wanna know the secret to GOOD assadillas?"
"Its LOVE!"
"dad taught me that, that's why his are sooo GOOD!"
"It's our secret family recipe k!?"
"People have those ya know!?"
<3
I Love that she has these memories in the kitchen with her daddy!
and yes, I know i said assadillas.
That's what Aaron and Iz call them.

Love my girls!

Birthday!!!! {late post}

15 baby!!!
studing for the permit. {scary}
Tay babysat half the day so Briar, Iz and I made her a surprise Birthday cake.
It worked out ok, but it was so hot in the house it kept wanting to melt and we lost power so it was a little messy at the end.
But..
Tay was happy and surprised with it.
Briar and Iz also blew up balloons and taped them to all the railings.
To surprise Tay.

Many laughs and weird faces during daddy's solo Birthday song.
He is a little crazy at times, but that's what makes us love him more.
We decided to wait till the weekend to go shopping for her birthday so she would have more money.
It worked out good cuz there were a lot of sales that day at some of her favorite stores.
Haul!!!

Ouch...........

So...
Our latest incident happened Wednesday around 6:30.
We dropped Briar off at a party around 6:00 and were headed on a walk/ bike ride with Iz when I got a phone call from a mom saying that Briar had attempted a back flip off their tramp and was hurt pretty bad, and needed stitches.
Would I like her to meet us at the E.R.?
Aaron said no we will go pick him up and see how bad it really is.
Cloe is like her mommy and freaks out a little sometimes.
When we got there I couldn't pull her screaming body out of the truck,
so... I left her there to go check  on Briar.
Yup... I headed back out to the truck.
It was a little more than I was ready for.
It was split clear to the bone, and wide.
Aaron wrapped it up and we headed to the clinic after hours, after 45 minutes or so, Aaron comes to tell me we needed to head to the E.R. that the people at the clinic were only certified to do minor stitches. and this wasn't minor.
GREAT!
So.... we head to the E.R.
Aaron and Briar head back and Iz and I finished up paper work and tried to find someone to go pick Tay up from Softball prac.
Thank heavens for moms. And I have the BEST!
She went and got Tay and then came and sat with us while we waited for Briar.
Aaron came out often to keep us up to speed.
Once they started getting it all cleaned up, they noticed how close to the tendon the cut was and did all the checks to make sure it hadn't been damaged, before they started with the stitching.
There were a few interruptions with calls for the Doc.
which meant some play time for the boys.
While sitting there waiting, Briar heard some beeping noises and asked Aaron what they were?
Aaron decided to have some fun with him and said that it was him.
His heart stopped!
And he was gonna die!
Of coarse Briar freaked out,
and started patting at his chest to then realize he wasn't hooked up to anything. {lol}
They also messed with the nurse a little during her questions.
She asked Aaron if Briar had any other medical problems?
He said besides brain damage and an overload of testosterone?
She didn't think he was very funny.
I guess she doesn't get his sense of humor.
Anyways once the doctor came back and started stitching it took
3 stitches in the bottom layer, 4 in the middle layer and 13 to close it up. 20 all together.
And a nurse who thinks my husband is not very sympathetic or nice.
Sooo.......
here are a few gory pics that were snagged.

Aaron used his Knife to show long it actually was.
I'm glad they didn't get any pics of it all cleaned up.
I think these are bad enough. I don't wanna see the bone and tendons.
So, now he has a long easy going {boring} in his words recovery.

Weekend remembories......... ;)

So we got all the puppies happy new homes.
YEAH!!!
they went really quick.
They were lots a fun while we had them, and they loved to torment Tay.
Iz was sad to see them go but has done pretty good.
The last 2 were gonna be leaving while we were in Montpelier for Tays tournament. so we got some loves and play time in before we left.

Aaron had to work all weekend, so the kids and I headed up on Friday morning to Tay's tournament in Montpelier. It was a fun ride up with lots of giggles and conversation.
Just outsides of Preston we stopped to let Iz see the waterfall and get a few pics.

Iz thought the waterfall and all the wild flowers were so pretty. She was so happy and full of it on the way.
She told us "I LOVE REMEMBORIES!!!!"
Well so do I.
And the weekend was full of memories and bonding for us.

Tays team did very well at the tournament.
The 1st day they played 4 games and were undefeated

The 2nd day they didn't have a game till 3:30.
which meant Aaron and my parents would be able to make it up. But meant the kids and I had hours to fill with NOTHING to do. We stopped at the gas station to get chips and drinks before heading to the park to chill, which in short resulted in me slamming Iz's fingers in the door. :(
A nurse happened to be there and came over and checked her fingers out and was so kind.
As well as the pharmacist when we went to get some ibuprofen.

not the best pic. but her finger was pretty bruised and swollen.
anyways...
Tay's team ended up playing 3 more games and taking
 2nd place!!!

It was a fun weekend and also the 1st time I have ever been away without Aaron.
And......
I did it! {lol}

Cloe's Logic

So Cloe and Briar noticed a scratch on one of Baylee's boobs today and I told them we would have their dad check it out when he got home.
So later we were out playing with the dogs and they asked Aaron if had seen it?
HE told them No I don't usually look at her boobs.
Cloe then proceeds to tell Aaron that
it's OK they aren't woman boobs!
We all kinda giggled,
And she says what?! dog boobs are different than woman boobs.
I love childrens innocence and logic.

Whirl Wind

Wow lifes been a whirl wind the last couple of weeks.
The older 2 had parties every night for 4 days.
I think that everyone was excited for summer.
Between parties, softball, baseball and RAIN we have managed to find time to play in the sprinklers and go on bike rides.
Cloe made it 3 miles the other day and loved every minute of it.
Cloe also had her first T-ball game this week and did very well.
She has also decided that she wants to be a pitcher.
She has been practicing very hard and has got the look and the wined up almost down. ;)
Cloe planted Strawberries last year and this year they are doing very well. she picked one last night all by herself but it wasn't quite ready yet but still yummy. But... we found a very red one out there today just waiting for daddy to get home to share.
The puppies are now 5 weeks and very playful.
Baylee is caring but about ready to be done.
So time to find new homes for them.
We just need to convince a sad Cloe that wants to keep them all.
She wants to train and teach them tricks.
She has been very caring and helpful with them.
Well with parties and puppies dwindling down I hope for a little more down time with the kids and hubby.
Although I know that is not really in our cards.
We have Taylors softball Banquet on Monday.
I am sure it will be very fun and emotional for all.
It was a great season with many lasting memories and friendships made.
Here are a few pics. we managed to snag in the all the chaos.
