Sunday after church we decided to go for a little drive so that we could let Iz take some pictures for the reflections contest.
Aaron thought it would be fun to take her out to the bird refuge.
I've never been all the way out there so I was like ok.
O man It is alot bigger than I thought.
So a couple hours, some stops and half a tank of gas later, {ouch}
we made it all the way around.
But it like most of our adventures was full of crazy, laughs, screams, pictures on everything that took pictures and all other sorts of shenanigans.
This is on the back side.
our first stop, and the only time we got out.
Do you see a pattern here?!
;)
and right after we saw this......
yup we all jumped a fumbled for cameras.
laughing and screaming trying to snap a pic.
We got these shots while Aaron drove forward and back like a gazillion times.
Stupid thing would run the opposite way Aaron would go trying to out SKUNK us. ;)
But .... Persistence pays off because we got him.
Cute huh!!
we saw another one a little further around, and YES... we did the same thing.
We had to...
He had to be a boy because he was dirty.
lol
Love the way kids think.
But.. he was smarter and we couldn't catch a shot.
so on we go.
We saw pheasants, and mud ducks along with a few other birds, but our geese never flew in. :(
All the while I am frustrated because their were trucks and trailers everywhere but I didn't see one boat.
They camo up good I guess.
Aaron and the kids got a kick out of my frustration and confusion to where they hide and WHY they would just sit out there when we never seen any ducks flying around to even shoot.
I could never...
I don't have the patience and would get bored.
Anyways...
On our way out we saw a ton of Big, Beautiful Pheasants sitting in the field by the road and stopped for Iz to get her pic.
But sadly we didn't get any pics. before they took off.
She is still learning and couldn't find them in the lens quick enough. :(
So a little further out we see all the Geese starting to fly in so we pulled over to listen and watch them fly over.
