birds

Sunday after church we decided to go for a little drive so that we could let Iz take some pictures for the reflections contest.
Aaron thought it would be fun to take her out to the bird refuge.
I've never been all the way out there so I was like ok.
O man It is alot bigger than I thought.
So a couple hours, some stops and half a tank of gas later, {ouch}
we made it all the way around.
But it like most of our adventures was full of crazy, laughs, screams, pictures on everything that took pictures and all other sorts of shenanigans.

This is on the back side.
our first stop, and the only time we got out.

 Do you see a pattern here?!
;)

and right after we saw this......
yup we all jumped a fumbled for cameras.
laughing and screaming trying to snap a pic.

 We got these shots while Aaron drove forward and back like a gazillion times.
Stupid thing would run the opposite way Aaron would go trying to out SKUNK us. ;)
But .... Persistence pays off  because we got him.
 Cute huh!!
we saw another one a little further around, and YES... we did the same thing.
We had to...
He had to be a boy because he was dirty.
lol
Love the way kids think.
  But.. he was smarter and we couldn't catch a shot.
so on we go.
We saw pheasants, and mud ducks along with a few other birds, but our geese never flew in. :(
All the while I am frustrated because their were trucks and trailers everywhere but I didn't see one boat.
 They camo up good I guess.
Aaron and the kids got a kick out of my frustration and confusion to where they hide and WHY they would just sit out there when we never seen any ducks flying around to even shoot.
I could never...
 I don't have the patience and would get bored.
Anyways...
On our way out we saw a ton of Big, Beautiful Pheasants sitting in the field by the road and stopped for Iz to get her pic.
But sadly we didn't get any pics. before they took off.
She is still learning and couldn't find them in the lens quick enough. :(
So a little further out we see all the Geese starting to fly in so we pulled over to listen and watch them fly over.

football banquet 2012

This person really embodied that. He would come to practice every day ready to go and was willing to play "R", "H", "Z", line backer  anything on the field...
anything to help out the team.
He was the one that would make that play to really get us started, and get us going if we were really down and out so the award for
MOST IMPROVED/INSPIRATIONAL
goes to...
Briar Bunderson!

Wow what a way to end the season.
Inspirational....
What an Honor!
What a great young man!
We are so proud of him.

The banquet was lots of fun and full of good company and lots of laughs.
The boys did great on their skits making fun of the coaches and shakin their stuff.
I really love this group of boys and their parents.
I have made some dear friends that I cherish deeply through Briars sports.
And as sad as I am for football to be over,
Its not the end to our fun and friends.
They have their first wrestling meeting after school today.
And a good handful of our favorite boys wrestle as well.
Bring on the mommas best support/cheerleaders they could ask for. (;

LOVE
this little monkey girl!!

Isn't she just the cutest?!
She has been a little attached lately
and I likeeee

She also loves everything that Taylor and Briar love
and
Stills Any of their clothes that will fit her
 { well kind of fit }
And then wears them until I make her wash them.
I love that she loves them and looks up to them.

She is quite the entertainer from singing every song that comes on the radio, And knowing all the words.
to dancing and doing gymnastics regardless of where we are.

I am so sad to see her grow up but love all her new phases.
I wish time would just slow down a little.

projects

We've been working on a few projects around here and still have a few to go.
But...
It's progress.
 And I like progress.

My dad made these BEES for Briars room
and they look soooo good!

My mom passed this sewing machine down to me
from my grandmas, on my dads side.

{look what a good little helper she is}

And Grandma Clawson gave me this old radio.
{It just needs a screw for the other knob and a few other little things to be finished }

See....
Progress!
My garage is getting roomier everyday.

Fall

Its Autumn time..
Its Autumn time..
The leaves are falling down.

I Love this time of year.
And we've been getting in the mood of fall around here.
Taco soup, fire, cuddling in blankies,
 Carmel Apples

decorating

not a lot, just a little, but enough.

  and...
Pumpkin painting

 not traditional but colorful and fun.

I think Fall should stay awhile I quite like it.

Already?...

School dances and dates...?
Ready or not they are here.
Taylor had her first school dance...
{sigh}
It wasn't to bad... It was actually kinda fun watching the process from:
 deciding who to ask...
how to ask...
from the group becoming bigger day to day...
the planning...
what kind of shirts to buy...
and all the food and pictures.
It all worked out with only a few minor bumps.
She had lots of fun and made old friends new again.
It all started at 11ish

after collecting all their dates they met up for some messy fun and slip-n-slide.
 the outcome?

 {Strawberry, Chocolate and Carmel ice cream topping, whip cream and flour}
Yummy huh?... (;
After a quick clean up they headed home to get ready for the evening portion of the date.
Pictures, dinner, dance and movie.

Tay loved her car load....
can't imagine why (;

Schaffer thought he was tough...
While being photo bombed by Hayden

{Tays car group}

  There ended up being 10 couples in their group
and lots of fun to be had.
Tay had a Blast.
1st dance?...
SUCCESS!!!

WE'LL YELL A LITTLE
LOUDER!!!!

Wed. was Briars last freshman football game.
It comes bitter sweet.
It has been so much fun watching this group of boys who are such great friends play together for the first time.
They have played their butts off.
And.. In return they are sore and tired.
ready for what for some is a very small break before their next sport starts.
For us it is wrestling season in 2 weeks.
Now... Briars 2 week break consists of:
UEA at his friends cabin
Football Banquet
{which they have to have a skit ready for}
and...
staying conditioned and building his air up for wrestling
along with any other things that come his direction.
.
Briar Is very lucky to have such amazing support that follows him to his games.
Taylor has been wonderful about taking pictures at all the games.
I am so grateful....
Yes Tay....  I LOVE YA even though I ruffed ya up a little at times. (;
