Region 2012

Wrestling went by so quickly this year.

We are at the end of the season already with Region under our belt and State around the corner with Super State to follow.

It has been such a fun and exciting year with many accomplishments already.

Briar works so hard and we couldn't prouder! 

Saturday was Region at Mt. Crest.

Briar started the Day seeded #2.

his first match was against a boy from mt. Crest.

WIN by pin in 27 sec.

His second match was against a boy from Bear River.

A tougher match going into triple over time/ sudden death.

meaning first to score wins.

Holy Cow it was so intense.

{Briar said the kid was tough and long but not much technical skill}

WIN with an escape! 5-4

His third match was the championship match against Tien from Weber.

Briar wrestled him Wed. at their dual and lost at the end by 1.

Briar new it was going to be a tough but close match.

And it was.

They wrestled so good and close and could have gone either way many times.

One would score and the other would quickly answer back.

It was tied going into the third and in the last few seconds fighting for the take down Tein got it.

Loss 3-1

Briar needed to calm his nerves,

and asked that know matter the outcome, 

he would be proud of what he had done.

So PROUD!!!

He had and showed great sportsmanship!

Aaron's coaching for Briar is coming to the end, as he gets ready to play freshman sports next year.

It will be bitter sweet!

I will gain a Husband, But..... Briar will loose his coach.

{Good thing Aaron's voice carries and I have earplugs}
